Catherine is a UK-based artist and currently works from her studio in Bedfordshire.
She set up a ceramics studio in the South of France in the early 90s and has taught ceramics and painting in the UK since 2000. Catherine spent 5 years holding therapeutic art workshops for people with drug and alcohol addictions. She then spent 6 years delivering a unique child centred art curriculum to pupils with emotional, social and behavioural challenges. She continues to work in this field.
Catherine learned the Mische technique at Brigid Marlin’s Atelier where she rekindled a love for imaginative art.
Catherine has always had an interest in portraiture turning her hand from a traditional style to one that is more expressive. Her versatility helps to reveal the character of the people she paints and brings out their depth of character.
Her most recent portrait commission was that of well-known conductor Hilary Davan Wetton.
Catherine has exhibited at The Mall Galleries, London, H R Giger Museum in Switzerland, the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology as well as many other exhibitions internationally including France, Italy, Denmark and Japan. Her painting "The Greening of the Soul" is part of the permenent collection at The Museum of Fantastic Art in Vienna (Phantasten Museum Wien)
In 2003 she was a featured artist at Woburn Abbey, UK.
